The Ear Inn
I have been walking by the Ear Inn several times a week for the last year and a half. Finally went in a few weeks ago. They have a house beer called Ear Inn Ale (which is Brooklyn Lager). This place though has a fascinating history. I especially like the blurb below.
Today, The Ear Inn is a bar and restaurant that features historic memorabilia and remains largely unchanged from its past appearance, even as urban renewal has transformed the area around it. Indeed, as part of the permitting process, real-estate developers have paid for thousands of dollars in repairs and improvements to the building, including a backyard fire escape.
It has been described by The New York Times as "a dump with dignity."
Reportedly, ghosts have been sighted in the property, including a spirit named "Mickey," a sailor waiting in eternity for his ship to come in.
This would be a good place to launch a pub crawl.

That place looks awesome!
The weather is so nice these days, let's work up a pub crawl before it gets all hot and muggy.
Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy!
They had a coupon for a sailing class around Manhattan that i picked up for you. Unfortunately the expiration date was 2006.
