China attacks Speaker Pelosi

But they have Universal Healthcare! Seriously though what is her solution?

Live Beer Review!

I am currently drinking a Brooklyn Brewery Hopfen Weise. Very sharp taste. Good but I like their Local 1 Belgian Style better.

I've now moved to a Three Philosophers. This is very good. Very subtle (I know that sounds pretentious but who cares).

I still have to say that Adam was right on the Rochefort 10.

Update: Regular Brooklyn Lager ain't bad either.

Best Live Albums

Adam gives us this to drink on. I might add One for the Road by the Kinks. How the West was Won by Led Zeppelin and One More From the Road by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The Audacity of Hype.

Lifted directly from Powerline. I am praying that this man becomes President. Life in America in 2008 is soooo bad.

I love this from Dick Morris

Suggestion for Obama:
The next time Hillary uses the recycled red phone ad, counter with one of your own. When the phone rings in the middle of the night, have a woman’s voice, with a flat Midwestern accent, answer it and say, “Hold on” into the receiver. Then she should shout, “Bill! It’s for you!”
Because with Hillary’s complete lack of any meaningful experience in foreign affairs, and her lack of the “testing” that she boldly claims, she’ll be yelling for Bill.

Me and...

Notre Dame Safety & Punt Returner Tom Zibikowski....not to be cocky I'm at playing weight..sign me up!

Thought for the day

If you are going to drink on Friday night and plan to make pancakes on Saturday, don't keep the Endust near the Pam!

Saturday Adventure

I had no tax returns to do this Saturday so it meant that I had little to occupy me....throw in the rain and it made for one bored individual. I went to Ikea as I am trying to organize my sports memorabilia better. That only means I will just make a bigger mess than the one I already have. I drove from Ikea in New Haven across town to Amity Wine & Spirits to see what interesting beer they had so here goes:

Trappistes Rochefort 10 - This was at the suggestion of Adam. In one word, brilliant.

Brooklyn Local 1 - Their version of a Belgian Ale. This was very good. The taste approached the Rochefort 10 but was a much lighter color. There was a note on the bottle with consumption suggestions from the brewmaster. Hey brewmaster....I don't tell you how to brew, don't tell me how to drink.

The Czar Imperial Stout - Make me realize why Guinness (sp?) is crap.

Hey how can the drunks walk here?

For those of you who know (or don't) there has been a project going on in the North End of Bridgeport where they have been replacing sidewalks in front of businesses. They just dug up the sidewalk in front of the Golden Star. Pix to follow.

Fighting the Nanny State

Via Instapundit. Probably a lost cause. It is a good thing though to see a little more critical attention (NAFTA,SNL) attention paid to Obama.

Both Beers...

the Reverend Avery (Avery Brewing - Boulder Colorado) and St. Andrews Ale (Belhaven Scotland) were excellent by the way! Am going to try a Brooklyn 1 this weekend.

It's a good day

When I can buy tickets to my annual baseball excursion. In this case Arizona & San Diego. Also scored a ducket to the second to last game to be played at Yankee Stadium. Off topic bought two interesting looking microbrews. One is called The Reverend Avery (Avery Brewing - Boulder Colorado) the other is St. Andrews Ale (Belhaven Scotland). Will see how they are and if they are worthwhile reviewing.
