Wales Bro!

At least according to SN!

Kinda Weekend Beer Review!

Hit up Captain Lawrence the other day, they have a nice tasting room where you can sample some of their experimental beers.  This one (Autumn Ambush - Pilot Batch 16) is a brown ale brewed with Belgian Yeast and Italian Seasoning.  If you like spicy beers this is up your alley!

Big Time Haul!

The beer clocks in at 20% now I have more tasting glasses to add to the collection!

Another top 100 done

Number 68!

Cascade - Sang Noir - 9.5% - Wild Ale - Really looking forward to this one! Poured into a wine glass.
A) Very nice ruby red thin head that quickly dissipates.
S) Very ripe cherries, one of the better smelling beers I've had!
T) Starts out nicely tart but midway through there is some sweetness from the cherries to balance out. Nice acidity at the end.
M) Carbonation is mild. Alcohol very well hidden.
Enjoyed this one alot!

Also going to through in a NebCo one I forgot about

New England Brewing - Premeditated Murder!

This is an interesting beer. Had a bottle a few days ago and thought it was pretty much of a Malt Bomb. The one I have right now is very hoppy. This one is so much better IMHO, there is so much up front hoppiness that is balanced out with a nice creamy caramel and toffee. Was going to give one of the bottles I picked up as a gift...not now! Well done!

Election Night Beer Review!

16 electoral votes right here for the taking (if you count that ABV).

1) Shmaltz Brewing Co - Jewbelation Sweet 16 - Coffee, Chocolate, Butterscotch and some sneaky heat.  Nice election night beer!

Weekend Beer Review!

Hopefully back to work next week!

1) The Bruery - Oude Tart - 7.50% - Flanders red ale, poured into my Bruery Tulip reddish, brown hue tart as anything!  Really nice sour cherry taste!

2) The Bruery - Tart of Darkness - 5.6% - A sour stout, who knew?  What is intriguing is the slight maltiness and chocolate offset by the sourness.  Very good!

3) Half Full Brewery - Rye IPA - 6% or so Picked up a growler yesterday at this relatively new CT. Brewery, nice beer I think the Rye at times can be a bit much.  Looking forward to more from this group!

4) Shipyard - Bourbon Barrel smashed pumpkin - Done!
