Happy Birthday Mahones Beer Review!

And a Sikorsky themed beer at that.  Another one of the crew hits 50! Picked this up at the Two Roads Event this weekend, didn't want to stand in line to see Igor's sons so I had some of this on tap at the time (10am) , went to NebCo for a growler and came back.  This beer was aged in Rye Whiskey barrels and is very whiskey forward.  I have one to bring to Mo's to share and another is going into the cellar to calm down.   Damn I think this is 11%!

Happy Birthday Kev!

Gonna be a Stout Tuesday

At least I think

Today's haul

The beer in the Glass is NebCo's new American IPA Supernaut.  Insanely drinkable at 5.8%.  Have a growler for today and another for tomorrow.  The rest will be dispatched of in due course!

Another Top 100 Bites the Dust!

This stout by 50/50 brewing was aged in 12 Year Old Elijah Craig Barrels for 200 days.  I have another variant coming.  Very good.

Weekend Beer Review!

New England Brewing - Coup Beans 5.2% - Coffee Oatmeal Stout - Always a treat to have a new NebCo beer. Poured into a snifter. Color is jet black with a nice tan head. The nose is slight coffee with also a bit of cocoa (bitter). Love the taste of this one, charred coffee, the aforementioned bitter chocolate and I do believe I am getting a bit of vanilla. I think that sweetness balances this nicely. Mouthfeel is very smooth, carbonation is mild.

One of the better sessionable stouts that I have had. Well done!
