Weekend Beer review!

Started Friday with an abbreviated Pub Crawl. Started at the Half Pint and went to the Blind Tiger as well. Had a good Lagunitas (Reuben & the Jets?) on cask and got to have a rare Brooklyn Brewery Savoir Faire. I think I am going to raise this up the flag pole and see who salutes. First Saturday after tax season do a proper pub crawl. Next Saturday I am heading to NJ to see the Devils. On the way back I may detour back to Brooklyn to go here. According to the Gotham Imbiber there are several good public houses in the area.

1) Sierra Nevada 2009 Bigfoot 9.6% ABV. Very Strong alcohol taste to this one. Good but not one to have if you expect to drink alot!

2) Flying Dog - Kerberos Tripel - 8.5% Good Belgian style ale.

Check back later, have some more goodies to try out. Since it looks like rain here today I may not be doing any epic walks so I will need something to do.

3) Two Brother's Brewing co. - Northwind Imperial Stout - Finally something good from Chicago. Very good stout. 8.5% ABV surprisingly drinkable.

4) Brooklyn Local 2 - I think this supposed to be a Quad. Very good!

In late 1968 Frank Zappa released a parody doo wop record called "Cruising With Ruben & The Jets".
[You can read Ruben's (fictional)story from the album's liner notes here.]

The Lagunitas Brewing Co. is producing seasonal ales commemorating the 40th anniversary release dates of FZ’s albums.

"Every major industrialized nation has A BEER, you can't be a Real Country unless you have A BEER and an airline -- it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need A BEER."
— Frank Zappa

I have a feeling that a no talent douchebag like Zappa would not have the guts to say that to a Muslim country.
