Sad...

Today I went out to lunch with some co-workers. One of the people had mentioned how she was going to go to a company meeting in Paris in the beginning of June. All things considered that is certainly a very cool business trip to take. The person said she was going to take some personal time to do some exploring on her own. I mentioned, hey beginning of June you might be interested in taking a trip to Normandy to see the D-Day sites. One person in the party said "What is D-Day"? I then had to explain. You know if a Democratic Presidency is inevitable in November, fine. Here is what I want though. In addition to the troops home from Iraq I want them home from:
  • Germany
  • Japan
  • Italy
  • Korea

Additionally, all foreign aid should stop, particularly to Egypt, the Palestinians & Israel. The ignorance of the American people is not worth one Soldiers life, the ignorance of the American people is not worth my tax dollar either. Let these animals fend for themselves.

Vacation 08

The coherence may be an issue as I am writing this after sampling the brews listed earlier (and a few more). In addition to ballgames in Phoenix & San Diego here are a few of the places I plan to visit:

  1. OK Corral - The Clanton Brothers were murdered!
  2. Sedona
  3. Grand Canyon
  4. Monument Valley, Utah
  5. Wupatki National Monument
  6. 4 Corners

Now home base for activities 3-6 is Flagstaff, AZ. Apparently about a mile or so from my hotel on the legendary Rt. 66 is the Flagstaff Brewing Company. I might go there once or twice.

Mountainview Plaza Wines & Liquors

Made my maiden voyage up there, my first true off weekend after tax season. Good place alot of different beers. I have to make up my mind if they had more than Amity Wine & Spirits. That may be a (God willing) lengthy research project. On to the beer:

Old Marley Barley Wine Style Ale - This was really good. I notice that it is brewed in Bloomfield CT by the Thomas Hooker Brewing Company. This may be worth a road trip.

V 12 Ale - Victory Brewing Company - Not bad, the 12% alcohol volume may effect future posts. By the way I don't know why these microbreweries fell the need to give directions on how to drink their product. As I think I said before, I don't tell them how to brew.

Grimbergen Double Ale - Belgian Import - 6.5% alcohol - Not impressed.

Even Better Quote

IAMO via Instapundit.

"I was looking at the exit poll data for the Pennsylvania Democratic Primary, and I noticed some things. First off, it was 58% female, because, as I've said before, it's very hard to imagine someone with (edit) a penis voting for a Democrat. The other things I noticed involved race and gender. Blacks went insanely for Obama at 90% for him versus 10% for Hillary. White women had an absurd 68% percent for Hillary versus 32% for Obama. That left it up to white men to actually vote for one or the other based on the issues and not just their racial or gender identity (they went 57% to 43% for Hillary). It's kinda unfair to put that much responsibility on them. Plus, I've known plenty of white males, and they are not the sort of people you want making all these decisions."
