Democrats eating themselves alive
I love it when this happens. Via VodkaPundit. Maybe they can all go move to Cuba.

Can you imagine if someone from a non-Trendy religion said this?
Dana Jacobson, of ESPN's Cold Pizza recently appeared at a roast in Atlantic City hammering the radio network's morning duo of Mike and Mike. I listen to Mike and Mike and they are actually pretty good. Much better than Boomer and Carton on WFAN. Mike Golic, one of the duo went to Notre Dame. Jacobson went to Michigan. When it was Jacobson's turn to roast the morning team she basically said to Golic, F*ck Notre Dame and F*ck Jesus. Now apparently Jacobson was really drunk. I can personally feel bad for someone who said something stupid when they were drunk because I know I will have multiple opportunities to do so this weekend.
What I do find interesting (and expectant) is the lack of attention from the media. Please ponder the following.
What I do find interesting (and expectant) is the lack of attention from the media. Please ponder the following.
- Is there any reason why Jacobson's religion is not identified as we are led to assume she is not Christian or Catholic as she professes to respect all religions.
- Is there any doubt her religion would be prominently identified if she was a Christian slandering a Muslim or Jew?
- What would the reaction be if a Catholic slandered a Muslim or Jew?
- What would the reaction of the New York Times be if a Catholic slandered a Muslim or Jew?
- What would the reaction of the perpetrators of the Religion of Pieces be if a Catholic slandered Muhammad?
- What would the over/under on the beheadings be?

RIP
Johnny Podres, Brooklyn Dodger pitcher, 1955 World Series MVP (first person to win the award). There aren't that many 55 Dodgers left. Roger Kahn's Boys of Summer chronicling that team is a great read once you get past his Eastern European socialism nonsense.
Godspeed Johnny.

Take a Trip with Jimmy Part 7
As I continue on Barham I end up on the outskirts of Burbank. I bang a left on Riverside Drive and see the Bob's Big Boy that I had many drunken meals at in 1996. The town I am now in is Toluca Lake. This is the main reason for the trek. I am in search of the bar that me, Flynn & McGowan (three Irish guys in a bar is that bad luck...or expected?) hung out for a good part of our stay for Capitol Records. Lo and behold, there it is Timmy Nolan's! It was the only decent bar in the area.
We had the good fortune to drink with two legends there. The first was Art Donovan. Art was a member of the 1958 Colts who played the New York Giants in the Championship game that basically launched the NFL as a television entity. Art used to do commercials and some sit com stuff. He was out there doing a pilot with George Gervin in a Sports Bar themed sit com. Flynn, whose brother went to BC with Art's son (that was our intro to talk to Art), says hey you are basically playing Norm from Cheers! Art thought that was great and I think we decided another drink was in order. Here is another piece of trivia for Jimmy readers, Art's father was a big time boxing referee and was the third man in the ring for Louis-Schmeling 2 at Yankee Stadium.
The second was Roscoe Lee Browne as you can see he had a long and distinguished career in acting and I remember seeing him in some John Wayne movies from the seventies. I am not sure which one of us said to him, Hey we recognize you from John Wayne movies. Roscoe said to us (without missing a beat) "John was in some Roscoe Lee Browne movies! It was a great comeback.
This stroll down memory lane was fun. Hope you enjoy it!
Take a Trip with Jimmy Part 6
Past the Oakwood we see the beginning of Warner Brothers Studios, the mighty Los Angeles river (side note they used to film alot of race scenes here I can think of one from 24, one from Grease! and one from Terminator 2: Judgement Day. We also see more of the studio & finally Bugs!
Take a Trip with Jimmy Part 5
The next part of our journey has us heading left to Barham Blvd where I take a picture of an ugly plam tree and show you the apartment complex (Oakwood Apartments) that I lived in for three months in 1996 when I worked for Capitol Records.
