Bobby Thomson Beer review

RIP to a man who hit one of the most famous home runs in baseball history passed today. Here's one to him.

1) Ommegang Abbey Ale 8.5% - I have no record have reviewing this so it's fair game. Great dubbel maybe the first craft beer I had before I really appreciated the style. Like the candied malts and the very dry finish. Great dubbel to a great home run!

2) Cascade Brewing - The Vine - Northwest style sour ale - 8.33% - Nice sour aged in Oak barrels and brewed with grapes. I can go back and forth on these sour ales but I like this...by the way the countdown to 500 commences next!

Snarky Nat's Pix

I am surprised that the Emperor hasn't changed the logo to "O"!

And then there were 6....

remaining ballparks to visit. Two more to be had this summer. Anyway enjoy these DC pictures. I like the Teddy picture the best.

First Baseball Game of the Year Beer Review!

Heading to DC tomorrow for the Nat's vs. the Brewers. More importantly hope to find/have some interesting beer! That said...

1) Stone Brewing - Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale - 8.7% - An American Strong Ale.... I take it as a black IPA. Great taste on this with the hops and the strong malt backbone. Excellent beer.

Some of the stupidity

This last picture should be captioned..."The Knights of the Roundtable!"

In anticipation

Of MC's photography at last nite's Bluefish Baseball Blow out. MC is the official photographer of the event and is ofetn referred to as the Ansel Adams of drunken stupidity. Well maybe not often as this was the initial time the reference has been made!
